Our Home

Located in the “Green Heart” of Umbra, we have settled down in an ancient farmhouse, or casale as they are called here, and ours has been named Casale Mille Soli. The entire property was lovingly restored by a fabulous couple named Giancarlo and Valeria, whom we have become great friends with, and without whose support we could not have had such a wonderful experience when we decided to “burn the boat” for lack of a better term and move to Italy. We have been truly blessed, life is good, and we are forever grateful for all the of the adventures that have brought us to where we are.

Below are just a smattering of the thousands of photographs that were taken at the start of Casale Mille Soli’s renovation journey, alongside the updated photos from today. We inherited these from the previous owners that chronicled ever step of the arduous journey of rebuilding an ancient farm house. While we are both almost always up for a grand adventure, the vision and hard work that it took to restore our casale to its original (almost original) grandeur is more that I believe either of us could have possibly dreamed of. Today we are so very grateful to call this small slice of paradise home and appreciate the journey that this move of ours has taken us on.
